Firefighting becomes a hot topic after the tragic Shanghai Fire happened in a high-rise residential building on Nov.15, 2010. Some opinion shows, system strengthening and people’s consciousness building of firefighting is critical to avoid the fire blaze. To relieve the anxiety or worries of our employees resulting from that tragedy, and also to ensure a safety working environment, improving production efficiency, we organized an overall fire dill on Nov.20, 2010.
This fire dill is to further strengthen the sense of fire protection and increase the react ability to any emergencies. It also teaches how to properly use firefighting equipment, how to escape and self-saving, and how to timely evacuate the employees by escape routes. By this drilling, either the management staff or the front-line workers are well aware of the importance of fire protection. They know the right reporting method and the location of all emergency exits, and they understand how to seek help from the firefighting equipment or other facilities to escape in case of a fire break out. The department leaders can correctly transfer and evacuate the workers being trapped in a fire.
We drilled a fire flee at the office building, ranging from fire alarming, self-saving, evacuating to fire dousing. Under the right instruction of fire fighters, a sudden “big fire” was extinguished in a second, no death and injuries. Through this training and drilling, the firefighting senses and skills of our employees are improved obviously, also our management level of firefighting is upgraded. In a word, the foundation of Safe Pivot is enhanced via this fire drill.
